<Treasure Island>

The play <Treasure Island> is based on the novel <Treasure Island> by Robert Louis Stevenson, who is well-known as the author of <Dr. Jekyll and Hyde>. The novel <Treasure Island> is a story written for ‘fun’ rather than for the purpose of teaching.The play <Treasure Island> shows the magic of the dazzling movements and language created by 9 actors. In addition to this, the live performance of a four-piece band (guitar, bass, keyboard, drums) that penetrates the heart heightens the dynamism and sense of urgency of the adventure. The audience will be enchanted by the spatiality of the theatre that becomes an island and doubles as soon as they enter the small theatre, and they will experience the perfect adventure itself provided by a single play.

As Robert Louis Stevenson once said, “Fiction is like children’s play for adults.”

The play <Treasure Island> is sponsored by Seoul Arts Centre.
